Rani International Development Co. (LLC) is developing the Oberoi Centre - a pair of landmark 33-storey towers near the entrance to Dubai Business Bay.
One of the towers will be a world-class luxury hotel with approximately 250 keys to be operated by Oberoi EIH Ltd. The second tower will be offered as offices.
The towers project from a common podium covering a majority of the 10,000m2 lot. The two podium & three basement levels will include hotel areas, retail, and parking.
The development will deliver 900,000 ft2 of additional space to Dubai by 2009, at an estimated construction cost of AED 650 million.
Halcrow Yolles have been engaged by Rani International Development Co. (LLC) to perform the consultancy services for the building structures and building services engineering design for The Oberoi Centre. Halcrow Yolles have also been engaged to provide construction phase supervision for the shoring and piling works currently underway.
Halcrow Yolles are coordinating the design of the structural and building services with numerous other design consultants.
Due for completion in 2009, the project owner, Rani International – part of Saudi-based Aujan Group – has signed a Management agreement with India’s five-star hotel chain, the Oberoi Group. Overlooking stunning lake views, the Oberoi Office Building offers both office and retail space, with single unit sizes starting at 2,000 square feet with the flexibility of buying up to 10,500 square feet for the entire floor. Situated close to the upcoming Metro station, tenants will also have access to the high-end leisure and dining outlets and services provided by the adjoining hotel. Hepher Project Management has been appointed as Project Manager for the development while Dutch Foundation Company is the piling contractor. Construction works on the project started two months ago.
